I believe it’s never too late to start an exercise program. You can still get fit even if you don’t start until middle age. I didn’t begin working out in earnest again until I was 61.

Exercise is good for your brain, too. It will help prevent memory loss and improve cognitive abilities.
Types of exercise we Baby Boomers can do:
For endurance: Cardio: dancing, walking, hiking, stair climbing, even house cleaning
For strength: Weight or resistance training: use your body weight, free weights, or resistance bands
To stay limber: Flexibility training: yoga
To reduce chance of falling: Balance training like yoga and Tai Chi
